Program Overview

The Lendology Mentor Program is a 24-month structured mentorship designed to meet the requirements of the MFAA Mentoring Framework. The program provides mortgage brokers with the guidance, competency development, and practical experience needed to establish a successful and compliant broking practice. It is suitable for both new entrants to the industry and experienced professionals transitioning into broking from lending, banking, or related fields.

The program is delivered nationally via one-on-one Zoom sessions and supported by a private mentor portal with structured resources, session materials, and progress tracking.

This program is designed for mortgage brokers who are required to complete the MFAA mentoring requirement as a condition of their MFAA membership. It is suitable for brokers who:

Program Structure

The program is divided into four stages, each spanning six months. Sessions are delivered fortnightly or as scheduled between the mentor and mentee.

Stage 1
Foundation
Months 1–6 · Sessions 1–6

Core systems, workflows, customer engagement fundamentals, compliance foundations, and initial lending scenario exposure.

Stage 2
Application
Months 7–12 · Sessions 7–12

Applying knowledge to real scenarios, loan submission quality assurance, research and recommendation skills, and expanding lending scenario coverage.

Stage 3
Growth
Months 13–18 · Sessions 13–18

Advanced lending scenarios, business sustainability planning, deepening compliance understanding, and increasing independence in client interactions.

Stage 4
Independence
Months 19–24 · Sessions 19–24

Self-management, final competency assessments, preparation for independent practice, and program completion review.

The program comprises 24 structured sessions delivered over 24 months. Each session is designed to cover specific Key Focus Areas and build upon previous learning. Sessions include discussion, scenario review, practical exercises, and competency assessment.

Loan Application Vetting

The mentee's first 12 loan applications are quality-checked by the mentor prior to submission. This vetting process ensures the mentee develops strong habits in loan packaging, documentation, compliance, and lender requirements from the outset of their career.
